Eating well can also be key to staying mentally sharp, emotionally balanced and energetic, with a strong immune system and a positive outlook.

• Consuming more calcium and Vitamins C and D for bone health.
Vitamin C foods also help with iron absorption.
• Eating dark green leafy vegetables and foods rich in Vitamin A to help prevent blindness and promote healthy skin.
• Reducing sodium (salt) to help prevent water retention and high
blood pressure.
• Reducing saturated fat intake in order to maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
• Eating more fiber-rich foods.
• Reducing consumption of sugar.
• Becoming informed about and getting the recommended amount of important vitamins and minerals.
• Increasing water intake.
• Participating in regular physical activity.
